A private institution called FLAME institution was founded in Pune, Maharashtra, in 2007. It provides two-year MBA courses at the postgraduate level in addition to three-year UG programmes in BBA, BA, and B.Sc. At the doctoral level, FLAME University also provides M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses.
Founded on the fundamental principles of liberal education, FLAME University is a Jain Minority Institution that provides an extensive variety of programmes in multiple subjects. According to the Maharashtra government's FLAME University Act of 2014, it is recognised as a State private university. The university offers UG and PG courses to students through its five schools. It provides students with B.A., B.Sc., BBA, BBA (CM), B.Des., MBA, M.Sc. - Economics, and many other programmes. Candidates must take the FLAME Entrance Aptitute Test (FEAT) or SAT in order to be considered for admission to UG courses. The results of the CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT, OR MAH CET exams (conducted by DTE Maharashtra) are used to determine admission to MBA programmes. For those interested in entrepreneurship, Flame University provides a one-year certification degree in the PG programme in innovation and entrepreneurship.
Under the direction of Dr. Devi Singh, the former director of MDI Gurgaon and IIM Lucknow, the university was founded with the goal of breaking down barriers to regular education and giving students a caring environment. Over 60 acres of lush land, it boasts a top-notch campus complete with facilities like dorms, a sports complex, a library, a canteen, a gym, a recording studio, a painting studio, and more. FLAME University was founded to provide students a nurturing environment by breaking down the barriers of traditional education, and it is led academically by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Dishan Kamdar, a former Deputy Dean, Academic Programmes, and Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Indian School of Business (ISB).
Flame University's faculty is made up of academics and professionals with an extensive range of industrial and academic experience who mentor students throughout the programme. Through its own Placement Cell, FLAME University provides excellent placement offers to all qualifying students. Flame University Placements 2023 is concluded with a 100% placement rate. Flame University's average package was INR 9.15 LPA (MBA), while the highest package was INR 20.5 LPA (MBA). Among Flame University's main employers are Jaro Education, Asian Paints, EY, Adani Group, HDFC Bank, and others.
